ABAM Announces New Maintenance of Certification Requirements.  The ABAM MOC program is an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) requirement that ABAM has adopted for its ABAM Diplomates. It is an important step toward meeting the ABMS criteria for recognition of addiction medicine.

All Diplomates are required to participate annually in Part I, in order to retain ABAM Diplomate status.   Diplomates holding Time-Limited Certificates must successfully complete all 4 parts of the Program during the 10 year MOC cycle.  Diplomates holding Time-Unlimited Certificates are encouraged but not required to participate in Parts II, III and IV.

2014 Deadlines (& Fees):

• Early: Oct. 31, 2013 -$1,950
• Regular: Jan 31, 2014 -$2,350
• Final: May 31, 2014 -$2,650

Exam Scores for the December 2012 exam will be sent electronically to candidates no later than the end of  March.  Please ensure your email address is current with ABAM.  Successful Examinees will be enrolled in annual ABAM Maintenance of Certification Program thereafter in 2013.
